New in the EKP-IV and EKP-IV Pro
Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS) has been added.With the elevation data pilots already have an indication of terrain height (Land Elevation ON, elevation under cursor position). TAWS gives the relative difference between the airplaneās altitude and terrain height.
ChecklistsA CRUISE checklist is added
All five checklists are customizable.
By pressing the PAGE button for 2 seconds a screen is diplayed containing all NavData fileds. By pressing ESC you go back to the Map view.
The previous RMI (Remote Magnetic Indicator) indicator is now an standard HSI (Horizontal Situation Indicator)
Land Elevation QUICK INFO is now always available when Land Elevation is on (even if they are not displayed when TAWS is on)
Selection of NMEA output string
A warning if fired when an NMEA setting output could exceed 2 seconds.
Simulator now has an Altitude setting. This will allow you to see the TAWS is action. In simulator mode the altitude will go up and down following a sinusoid.
VFR Reporting points can now be used as route waypoints and will be displayed by their name in the data window (rather than WPT999 in the previous software versions).
MSL (Mean Sea Level) value added to the Altitude datafields
